What a year 2022 was for me, I finally achieved my goal of winning the 100-UK championship after 3 years of competing in the class against some fantastic competitors. this was made all the sweeter after loosing out in 2021 by a single point to Adam Rodgers, and i really would like to thank my Dad, Brian Cole and everyone else who has supported me and kept me on track through the year!
I’ve had some unforgettable races and experiences in this class and made some life long friends.

Will Cotterill
I Started racing in Comer Cadets in 2000 before competing in the junior TKM categories of Super One and 100 National until 2006.
after 10 years away from karting i returned to compete in the K135 class, 100-UK and Formula A.
the experiences with 100-UK were immense and invaluable with some great battles over the years. I would have to say that returning to historic karting was the most enjoyable and friendly experience I’ve had in motorsport, and although I’m now not actively racing myself at present, the urge to race and return is as strong as ever.

Glenn Joined 100-UK in 2018 and instantly hit the ground running, winning his first race later that year at Buckmore Park.
the following year saw Glenn really hit his stride with a great year winning the championship with a round to spare.
always exciting on track, but now concentrating on applying his abilities to the spanners for others to great effect, we hope to see him back on track in 2023 and beyond

100-UK series,, I’ll try to keep it brief!
After I finished competing in 2005 in TKM SuperOne I never thought I would be racing again. That is of course until I saw 100-UK on social media, what better way to start karting again, a cost effective way of going racing at great circuits across the country.
For me personally it’s a great opportunity to take me back to my early days of racing with my Dad on the spanners and Flex motorsport doing my engines, just as it was when I started.
My aim when I restarted was just to finish every race, but it doesn’t take long for the bug to bite once again. I have met some great friends and I look forward to, hopefully, making an appearance next year to be part of it once again.

So I got involved in 100UK when the class first started in 2017, as I wanted the opportunity to re-live the early days of my time in karting where things were simpler and affordable. The Wright Suzuka kart I use was bought second hand by my parents in 2001 and had hung on the garage wall since mid-2002 so it was the ideal package to use. It’s been to the moon and back and it has not suffered a single failure during its 20 plus years in existence!
Historic TKM karting has been one of the few growth classes in karting in recent years, and it has been great to see develop so much. We have several new & old names come and race in the series and create a competitive but friendly grid to be part of. I very much enjoyed racing a full season in 2022 and looking forward to more of the same in 2023.

100UK, where to begin….as a keen TKM karter in the 90’s to find out in 2017 there was series to race the class again left me excited! So much so that In a matter of days whilst supposed to be moving in to a new house I was in someone’s garden buying the same kart I had raced in 2001, bringing back great lad and dad memories. Fast forward five years, I’m still involved having won races and trophies against ex champions from all different forms of karting. The relatively low cost, high calibre racing I feel is unparalleled by other alternatives. I sometimes pinch myself that I’m still fortunate enough to racing with the same kart, suit, trailer, mates and my dad 20 years later! There aren’t many things that give you a better adrenaline rush than they did when you were 15 and this does!

I have been involved in 100uk for many years now and have always enjoyed the close racing that the series provides. The respect and friendships between the drivers were a couple of the positives for me. I always felt like no matter what happened on track, all drivers helped each other out and wanted to see others do well. Also, you can’t beat the sound and smell of the 100cc motor on a Sunday morning!

Brisca F2 oval racing
The powers of Facebook got me back into karting after a 20-year gap, I noticed karting pictures from the 90’s and the next thing I found myself in contact with Marcus Dorey, Paul Birchenall and Denis Barclay buying Karts and Engines.
My first meeting back was the 100Uk Macey Cup at Clay in 2019, the smile on my face said it all. But the results showed that I needed to work on my race craft.
I was back, I had the bug and felt part of the 100Uk family. Always a Dad and Lad setup, it was great to have Dad alongside me at the track. Before I knew it, my Brother Brendon had purchased a kart and the racing weekend had turned into a family event.
Next race was the O Plate at rye house, and the weather conditions really favoured my driving style. After a tough start to the day with a snapped chassis I won heat 3 and then went on to win the final in challenging wet conditions.
I went on to win Fulbeck and 2nd at Clay. This secured the 2020 Classic 100-UK championship, from Adam Rogers and Wesley Graves.
I am also the first person to win a mojor trophy twice with winning the O plate in 2020 and again in 2023 and i look forward to carrying this in 2024

I found out about 100UK by chance, bumping into Scott Williams at Whilton Mill one day (Scott and I raced at Super One together in 1998). I didn’t know at the time how much fun I was going to have on the back of that chance meeting.
As soon as he told me about it, I did some research and started trying to find a kart. Marcus Dorey very kindly lent me a kart to do my first round at the end of 2021 and after that I was hooked. It’s been brilliant fun racing the same kart I used to 20+ years ago. For me it is just the right balance of competitiveness, where you can quite often have 10+ guys capable of winning any race (7 different winners from 7 rounds in 2022), and fun, where people aren’t taking it so seriously that their life depends on each result! It’s about as cost effective as any karting out there, and if you win it’s because of how you performed on the day, not the size of your bank balance. The paddock is incredibly friendly too, where if you have any issues you can pretty much guarantee someone will help you out. As shown by Adam Sirett lending me his trailer for a race meeting, when he barely knew me at the time, and Marcus lending a kart for that first round.
I can’t recommend it enough, if you’re looking for something to do that is a huge amount of fun, where you’ll make lots of friends with like minded people, look no further!

Marc joined the 100-UK grid in 2018 at Clay Pigeon Race Way and has been an ever present since. having clocked up an amazing 30 entries at Fulbeck 2023, he has been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Marc is a fun, lively character around the paddock and embodies the values and ethos of the grid by always being welcoming to new members and willing to do anything to ensure everyone one gets out on the grid to enjoy the sport we all love.
Even at 56 Marc shows that experience can pay with a fantastic 4th on the 2022 O-Plate and is looking for a strong 2023.

Brendon joined 100-UK in 2020 as a complete novice and has been a central figure in teh paddock since. He is always happy to chat and rarely doesnt have a smile on his face.
He has worked tirelessly to progress through the grid, gradually moving higher and higher in the championship standings with a high finish of 5th in 2023.
Brendons highlight was taking the O plate at Clay in 2022 on a tough day with mixed conditions.
How high can he finish in 2024? We will see, but more importantly when will he take Williams bragging rights and finish ahead of brother Scott who is also a 100-UK hall of famer.

Having competed in the British champs through seniors and having narrowly missed out on a British title on a few occasions as well as taking a major club title, James took a break from karting but made a return with 100-UK in 2022
Since his arrival he has made a big impact having qualified on the front row for the final 14 of 16 races he has participated in
In his first full campaign he narrowly missed out in the title be 2 points but put an amazingly consistent season together in 2024 to take his maiden title
Will James be the first to break the duck and be the first champion to retrain their title in the class? Stay tuned in 2025 to find out
Matthew Lawrence
Matt is 100-UK most long standing and active member, he has supported the class since the first official and has attended more rounds than anyone else in the classes history. Matt is also the record points scorer for 100-UK. Matt has a difficult 2021 but bounced back to finish the championship in the top 10 on an extremely competitive grid in 2022. We look forward to seeing Matt continue with us into the future.
